  • Emily Stone Rydbom, CNC, BCHN, CNP

    OWNER, CO-FOUNDER, NUTRITIONIST & CEO

    Emily Stone Rydbom is a certified nutrition consultant, board-certified holistic nutritionist, and certified nutrition professional. She is an entrepreneur, published researcher, and international educator who has been on the leading edge of applied personalized nutrition since 2010.

    She is most widely known for her groundbreaking work in the improvement of transgenerational health as the founder and CEO of GrowBaby Health and the GrowBaby Life Project (501c3) research. A key focus of her work, advocacy, and research over the last decade has been empowering women and couples during the preconception, pregnancy, and postnatal time period and teaching families about healthy nutrition and lifestyle balance from six months through five years and beyond. In recent years, this focus has expanded to include the implications of the oral microbiome and periodontal disease to conception and healthy pregnancy. She is the co-creator of a first-of-its-kind genetic test in partnership with DNALife. The GrowBaby genomic assay tests 44 SNPs and 27 genes, in 11 key biological areas associated with maternal health and fetal health outcomes emphasizing the modifiable aspects of host/environment personalized genomics. This test is sold all over the world. She has co-developed prenatal formulations with one currently available worldwide in partnership with Metagenics, Inc, and works as an independent consultant for multiple well-reputed nutraceutical companies. Emily was a principal investigator in the peer-reviewed published study, Customized nutritional enhancement for pregnant women appears to lower incidence of certain common maternal and neonatal complications: an observational study (2014), and is the principal investigator in an ongoing project registered through clinical trials, Select Nutrient and Gene Variant Analysis in a Targeted Diet and Lifestyle Intervention Reduces Preterm Birth (SNGLI-PTB) applied in partnership with a Molina Healthcare, a major national Medicaid Care Organization in a 100% OB Medicaid population in the state of Nevada.

    She completed her undergraduate degree at Southern Oregon University, followed by her postgraduate training at Bauman College, Berkeley, California, and is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. She is proceeding toward her MPH in public health with an emphasis on community health education.

  • Leslie Stone, MD

    CO-FOUNDER & CMO

    Since 2011 in clinical practice, Leslie and Emily have been applying GrowBaby in a 50% Medicaid OB setting where their unique pregnancy care model shows a decade-long track record of better pregnancy and birth outcomes. They are excited to announce their partnership with Molina Healthcare to apply GrowBaby in a 100% Medicaid OB setting in the state of Nevada.

    Leslie has delivered well-over 5,000 babies in her career since 1984. She has worked with Michael in a clinical setting since 1984.

  • P. Michael Stone, MD, MS

    DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH & EDUCATION

    Dr. Stone is actively involved in functional medicine research and continues to consult with residency programs across the United States, mentoring physicians to help bring a ‘systems medicine’ way of thinking to the practices of future physicians and patients. For over 35 years his career has been as a nutrition-minded physician who focuses on transgenerational health and disease outcomes.

    Michael has delivered 1,500 babies in his career. He has worked with Leslie in a clinical setting since 1984.

Preconception & Perinatal Nutrition Specialist

Emily A Rydbom, CN, BCHN, CNP

A perinatal nutrition specialist who has been working in the clinical field of OB nutrition and personalized care since 2011. She is the co-founder of GrowBaby, LLC and the CEO of GrowBaby Life Project, 501c3. She is a graduate of and former collegiate athlete at Southern Oregon University, where she spent a semester studying abroad at the Universidad de Guanajuato before living in Mexico for 2 years. Following her return she completed a nutrition consultancy program through Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and holds a Board Certification in Holistic Nutrition® and is a Certified Nutrition Professional. She is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.

Emily has had the honor of working with Lindsey since 1988.

 
 

Labor and Delivery Nurse & Lactation Specialist & Postpartum Mood Specialist

Lindsey Wilkens, FNP, CLC, IBCLC

Lindsey is earned her Masters in Nursing from Purdue University and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She practices as a Newborn Well Provider on the labor and delivery floor at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Lindsey is also an experienced Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and Infant Feeding Specialist, in addition to being an experienced labor and delivery and postpartum nurse. She also practices as an inpatient Lactation Specialist Nurse (Mother-Baby unit, Neonatal intensive care unit and Pediatric intensive care unit) and as a lactation consultant in outpatient primary care settings.

Lindsey and Emily have been working together since 1988.
